A Bit About Us...The Towne Winer opened in 2003 in the south- end of Guelph at the Downey Road Plaza (see map). The proprietors both have their own areas of expertise: Barrie(a.k.a. The Winer) started to make wine 35 years ago while Liz has 20 years experience in the gift trade. Our store features wine and gourmet gifts, the world's best stemware: Riedel, the new Eisch Breathable Glass, wine kits, pasteurized and Ontario juices and unique items for the wine connoisseur. Beyond the sales counter is the walk-in cooler, and the bottling area with sinks,bottling supplies and equipment.

Choosing a premium wine on tap system instead of carbon-inefficient heavy glass bottles reduces packaging waste by at least 85% and carbon emissions by 55% without sacrificing quality. If you've never had the pleasure of tasting wine from a Reidel glass, you're in for a pleasant surprise. What an improvement from the typical wine stem!
